Manẓamat Ansar Allah

Not yet designated terrorist by a Western country
Base of operations: Iraq, Syria

Manẓamat Ansar Allah (Partisans/Supporters of God Organization) is a Shi'a militia primarily based in al-Zubayr in the Basra area (cf. Liwa al-Shahada). The group is led by Abd al-Sittar al-Mash'ash'ai and it identifies ideologically with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamene'i, which is unsurprising as it is linked to the Islamic Da'wah Party- Tanẓim al-Dakhil. The most notable area of operation within Iraq has been the Fallujah area in eastern Anbar, but the group has also advertised recruitment for fighting in Syria, with an advertisement including contact phone numbers for those interested put up on a Facebook page for the group on 30 August 2015. Besides, earlier in the summer the group had claimed that it had a 'Saryat Kafil Zainab' squadron that was ready to intervene at any time to defend the Sayyida Zainab shrine in Syria.

However, according to Abu Abbas al-Badrani, one of the recruitment officials contacted by telephone via the advertisement, as of 8 November 2015, the militia has not deployed any fighters on the ground in Syria (but is of course hoping to do so in the near future). This is also implied by early November postings on the group's Facebook page, which uses language of 'qadimun' ('coming') to Syria, meaning that they will arrive at a future date.
