Sydney Hostage Taking Suspect: "I used to be a Rafidi"by Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi • Dec 15, 2014 at 11:18 am https://jihadintel.meforum.org/122/sydney-hostage-taking-suspect-i-used-to-be Amid all the debacle about whether the hostage taking in Sydney is Islamic State [IS]-inspired, it has emerged that the suspect is one Haron Monis. Originally from Iran, it would seem that he has experimented with multiple strands of identities and is a disturbed individual more than anything else. Prior to this latest incident, which involves assuming a Sunni sectarian identity that may include affinity with IS, he involved himself in the practice of black magic, penned offensive letters to the families of dead Australian soldiers, and has more recently proclaimed that he is no longer a 'rafidi' ('rejectionist', a derogatory term for a Shi'i Muslim), but now a real Muslim. receive the latest by email: subscribe to the free jihad intel mailing list |
