Saraya al-Salam Parades in Southern Iraq

Saraya al-Salam- Muqtada al-Sadr's militia that is trying to project a more Iraqi nationalist image in the face of competition with Iranian proxies like Kata'ib Hezbollah and the Badr Organization recently held military parades in Babil and Wasit provinces. The local Iraqi outlet al-Masalah reports:
"Saraya al-Salam recently organized a military parade in Babil in the Ibrahimiya region, with military uniform and display of some types of weapons. And a source told al-Masalah: 'Hundreds of the Saraya al-Salam began this morning a great parade in the centre of Hillah in the Ibrahimiya region in the centre of the town.' And that comes at the same time as a Saraya parade in the centre of Kut in Wasit province on Sunday in military uniform with the display of various types of light, medium and heavy weapons, including a heavy missile with the name Sadr 1."
