Ajnad Misr: Commemoration of '25 January Revolution'

In a new statement released by Ajnad Misr and entitled "retaliation is life," the group commemorates the first anniversary of its own founding and the anniversary of the '25 January revolution' that saw the ouster of Hosni Mubarak in 2011. Ajnad Misr also lists some of its recent operations and vows to continue its work, affirming that true 'retaliation' can never come about through the judiciary and courts of the 'criminal murderers' (referring to the current Egyptian government), and that "our jihad will continue by God's permission until...religion is wholly of God' (a reference to the Qur'anic injunction to fight the enemies of Islam until there is no more 'fitna'- discord- and religion solely belongs to God).
