From Le Figaro (February 23, 2015), translated below:
"Six French jihadists, whose departure to Syria seemed imminent, have been deprived of their passports- a first time since the vote in November on this plan in the anti-terrorist law, it has been learnt today from a source close to the case after the morning RTL announcement. The passports of these six Frenchmen suspected of wanting to head to Syria, have been confiscated six months liable to renewal. These measures of interdiction du territoire [travel ban] follow on the hardening of the anti-terrorism law decided by the government after the wave of attacks last January.
Some of these six Frenchmen were reported by their friends and relatives via the green number hotline to the Interior Ministry, while others were discovered through multiple enquires currently led by detectives of the DGSI [French intelligence agency]."
