Islamic State: Cyrenaica Province

The Islamic State's 'Cyrenaica Province' in eastern Libya (Wilayat Barqa) follows on from a pledge of allegiance to the Islamic State by a local outfit known as Majlis Shura Shabab al-Islam. With alleged assistance from the Islamic State's Libyan armed division Katiba al-Bittar al-Libi, that development has led to the establishment of the trappings of an Islamic State-style province (e.g. Islamic court) primarily in the city of Derna.
