Liwa al-Muntaẓar ('The Expected One's Brigade': a reference to the 12th Shi'a Imam: Imam Mahdi) is like Saraya al-Jihad a Shi'a militia affiliated with Harakat al-Jihad wa al-Bina' and headed by Dagher al-Mousawi. The only difference, which is not all that meaningful, is that Saraya al-Jihad is led by one Hassan al-Sari from the same movement. Sample areas of claimed operations include Jurf al-Sakhr (south of Baghdad) and al-Fadiliya (border of Babil and Anbar provinces).
