Kata'ib Ruh Allah
Not yet designated terrorist by a Western country Base of operations: Iraq
Kata'ib Ruh Allah ('Spirit of God Battalions') is an Iraqi Shi'a militia led by one 'Sheikh Abu Talib al-Mayahi'. Some claimed areas of operation include Dabitiya in north Baghdad and Balad in Salah ad-Din province. It identifies ideologically with Islamic Republic of Iran founder Ayatollah Khomeini (whose first name was also 'Ruh Allah/Ruhollah', to whom the militia's name is likely a tribute). That said, Iranian proxy Kata'ib Hezbollah denies any relation with Kata'ib Ruh Allah.
