Jamaat Jund al-Qawqaz ('Group of Soldiers of the Caucasus') is a Caucasus Emirate affiliate (more specifically, with allegiance to Abd al-Hakim al-Shishani of that group, who heads Jamaat al-Khilafa al-Qawqazia- Caucasus Caliphate Group) operating in Latakia and the Quneitra. In November 2014, the group gained new members through the joining of 'Ahrar al-Sharkas' (Free Circassians) in Quneitra. The group is composed mainly of ethnic Circassians from Syria and Jordan.
