Saraya al-Imam (The Imam Squadrons) is a Shi'a militia led by one Sheikh Shamel al-Askari. Defining itself as part of the 'Islamic Resistance' and the 'Reserve Force for the First Martyr Sadr Forces', the militia has participated in fighting in the Fallujah area and primarily seems to identify ideologically with Iran.
