"Al-Ghalibun: Saraya al-Muqawama al-Islamiya fi Souriya" ("The Dominant Ones/Those Who Overcome: The Islamic Resistance Brigades in Syria") is one of a number of Syrian 'Hezbollah/Islamic Resistance' formations (cf. Liwa al-Sayyida Ruqayya, the National Ideological Resistance, Quwat al-Ridha). The group emerged on the scene of social media in 2015 but has put out relatively little information on its activities, and members are generally reluctant to discuss the formation with outsiders. Open source postings point to Damascus and Quneitra as known areas of operation. On 16 September 2015 and 10 October 2015, the group claimed one 'martyr' each: Daniel Ghassan al-Atrash and Darid Ghassan al-Atrash respectively, who were brothers from the Latakia locality of Ayn al-Bayda and killed in Quneitra.

A media activist for Quwat al-Ridha has also claimed to this author that the group operated in Ariha and Idlib city in Idlib province in the northwest of the country. Idlib city fell to rebel forces in March 2015, while Ariha fell in May 2015.
