Islamic State: "Remaining"
Bāqīya- Arabic for "remaining"- is a slogan frequently used by the Islamic State to signify rejection of Zawahiri's orders in 2013 for the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) to be disbanded and return to the Islamic State of Iraq. Bāqīya was also the name of a media outlet advertising ISIS' activities in Damascus province, from which the group has largely been expelled with the exception of a small remnant in Qalamoun that works alongside Jabhat al-Nusra and other rebels.
